The US National Assessment process is underway. SCIPP is involved in two regional technical input documents that will support the National Assessment process. We are inviting input through both the regional document processes. As part of this process, we are looking for studies, reports and meetings outcomes on issues related to climate or climate impacts in each region. If you know of any such reports, please send them, or a link, to us. If you would like to comment on events in Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama, please contact Lynne Carter. If you would like to comment on issues in Oklahoma and Texas, please contact Renee McPherson. If you would like to provide input on the national effort, please contact Emily Cloyd). The deadline for providing input to the National and Regional Assessment process is March 1, 2012.
The National Climate Assessment also has an e-newsletter, which you can subscribe to by e-mailing engagement@usgcrp.gov. This e-newsletter, which comes out approximately every six weeks, will offer news of upcoming public events and opportunities for public comment. You can also contact the Assessment staff at engagement@usgcrp.gov to indicate further interest in engaging with the process.
