Second Annual Stakeholder Services Committee Meeting

SCIPP will hold its second annual Stakeholder Services Committee Meeting on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 on the campus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. This annual review meeting will bring together SCIPP's 15-person committee to review the past year's activities and provide recommendations and guidance moving into the next program year.

Austin Community Action Plan Kick-off Meeting

As part of SCIPP's pilot efforts with the city of Austin, TX, several members of the SCIPP team will be in attendance at a community action plan meeting at Austin City Hall on March 4th and 5th. The meeting marks the first step in a year-long process to establish an action plan for the city. SCIPP will provide an overview of the current state of knowledge on climate change and will additionally have an opportunity to visit with a variety of city decision-makers during the meeting.

Climate Prediction Applications Science Workshop

The National Weather Service's Climate Services Division, in conjunction with the National Integrated Drought Information System and the California Department of Water Resources will host the 8th Annual Climate Prediction Applications Science Workshop (CPASW) at the Hilton San Diego Airport/Harbor Island hotel in San Diego, CA on March 2-4, 2010. 2010 American Meteorological Society Annual Meeting

Members of the SCIPP RISA team will be in attendance at the annual American Meteorological Society (AMS) meeting January 18-21, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia. Team members will provide a series of presentations overviewing SCIPP projects, GIS development, RISA/Regional Climate Center collaborations, as well as summaries of graduate student projects. We hope to see you in Atlanta!

Oklahoma Climate Adaptation Planning Meeting

SCIPP, in conjunction with the Oklahoma Climatological Survey, will be hosting a climate adaptation planning meeting for Oklahoma at the National Weather Center during the afternoon of December 10, 2009. The meeting will bring together tribal communities, state agencies, and large city representatives to begin addressing this issue collectively.

First Annual Stakeholder Services Committee Meeting

SCIPP held its first annual Stakeholder Services Committee Meeting on June 19, 2009 at the National Weather Center in Norman, Oklahoma. The committee reviewed activities, research, and projects undertaken in SCIPP's first year of existence and provided recommendations and guidance moving forward into Year 2.
