SCIPP to Hold First Annual Stakeholder Services Committee Meeting

On June 19, 2009 SCIPP will host its very first Stakeholder Services Committee meeting at the National Weather Center in Norman, Oklahoma. The annual committee meeting, which is held in a different SCIPP state each year, brings together national, regional, and local experts in climate, emergency management, hazards, and policy to review the progress of the program and make recommendations for future work. In particular the committee focuses significantly on SCIPP's engagement of local and regional stakeholders in an effort to support mid-course adjustments to the program as needed. This annual process of evaluation will allow SCIPP to enhance its services and adapt to the changing climate service needs of the region.
