Dr. Anthony Levenda is the Director of the Center for Climate Action and Sustainability and a faculty member at The Evergreen State College. His work focuses on environmental politics and governance in two primary areas: policy and activism for just energy transitions and the urban politics of climate adaptation. His research and writing has been published in Earth’s Future, Political Geography, Urban Geography, Environment and Planning A: Economy and Space, Local Environment, Environment and Planning C: Politics and Space, Futures, and more. Dr. Levenda’s work has been funded by the Gulf Research Program of the National Academies, the National Science Foundation, and most recently by the Climate Program Office of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in partnership with the Southern Climate Impacts Planning Program at the University of Oklahoma.
