On November 21, 2025, SCIPP’s Caylah Cruickshank and Rachel Riley received awards for their academic excellence in the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences at the University of Oklahoma (OU). The ceremony took place at the National Weather Center in Norman, OK. Awards were given across five categories: Outstanding Research, Excellent Research, Superior Research, Outstanding Teaching and Outstanding Service. Cruickshank was presented with the Outstanding Service Award which recognizes stellar service contributions to the College and broader research community. Riley received the Outstanding Research Award, which highlights notable achievements and advancement in the research field. Representing both SCIPP and the broader Oklahoma Climatological Survey department at OU, these awards reflect SCIPP’s commitment to advancing research and serving stakeholder needs across the South Central U.S.
