An analysis of ice storm events revealed that both frequency and intensity were highest from southwestern Texas through Oklahoma, northwestern Arkansas, southeastern Kansas, and central Missouri. No consistent trend was found in the number of storms, ice thickness, or the frequency of catastrophes.
