Derek Thompson

Derek Thompson is a Research Associate for SCIPP at Louisiana State University (LSU). Mr. Thompson holds a B.S. in Meteorology from Western Kentucky University and a M.S. in Geography from LSU, and is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Geography from LSU. His research interests include climatology, geographic information systems (GIS), tropical cyclones, heat stress, and statistics. His current research focuses on wet bulb globe temperature and its relationship with human health in Louisiana.
