July Global Temperatures are 4th highest on record

The latest release from NOAA indicates that globally, July 2012 has been the 4th hottest July on record.

How does that translate to our 6 SCIPP states?

Arkansas recorded the 6th warmest July on record, and the warmest January to July on record with an average temperature 4.1 F above normal.

Louisiana reported the warmest January to July on record, with an average temperature 3.2 F above normal.

Mississippi also had the warmest January to July on record, with an average temperature 3.2 F above normal.

Oklahoma recorded the 9th warmest July on record, and the warmest January to July on record, with an average temperature 4.9 F above normal.

Tennessee had the 7th warmest July on record, and the warmest January to July on record, with an average temperature 3.8 F above normal.

Texas reported the warmest January to July on record, with an average temperature 3.1 F above normal.
