Thank you to all of our speakers and participants for attending the workshop and creating lively discussions!

The Southern Climate Impacts Planning Program (SCIPP), in collaboration with the Arkansas Chapter of the American Planning Association, hosted the first Arkansas Natural Hazards Resilience Discussion on September 29, 2017 in Bentonville, AR. The motivation behind this meeting was formed as a result of discussions with emergency manager and planning professionals in Arkansas at state conferences and an introductory webinar in March of 2017. This meeting continued the conversation for how emergency managers and planners can collaborate as well as to increase awareness of how local climate data can be utilized in planning and hazard mitigation efforts in Arkansas.
