The Southern Climate Impacts Planning Program (SCIPP), in collaboration with the Arkansas Chapter of the American Planning Association, hosted the second Arkansas Natural Hazards Resilience Workshop on September 28, 2018 in Siloam Springs, AR. This meeting was convened as a result of discussions with emergency manager and planning professionals in Arkansas over the past 2 years and follows an introductory hazard resilience meeting held in September 2017. The event focused on how emergency managers and planners can increase their awareness and use of climate data in hazard planning and adaptation efforts in Arkansas, specifically through the debut of a new climate tool titled the Simple Planning Tool for Arkansas Climate Hazards.
