SCIPP’s 2024-2025 Annual Report is now available!
The Annual Report details SCIPP’s research, partnerships, and engagement from June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025. Some features include the release of SCIPP’s County-Level Minimum Temperature Explorer Tool this past fall and a narrative case study detailing SCIPP’s partnership with the City of Shreveport, Louisiana. Some accomplishments over the past year were also mentioned, highlighting how SCIPP’s research on lengthening hurricane seasons, stalling North Atlantic tropical cyclones, the size of tropical cyclones at landfall advanced knowledge of hurricane and tropical cyclone science throughout the region.
Additionally, the report gives insight into SCIPP’s next steps, including the investigation of the forced retreat of coastal populations and an evaluation of the Simple Planning Tool for Climate Hazards version 2.0.
