Jeffrey Gaffney
Dr. Jeffrey Gaffney is Professor and Chair of Chemistry at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He studies the effects of aerosols on climate change and is involved in global climate change research. Some of his other research interests include the atmospheric chemistry of organic molecules, tropospheric chemical modeling, air pollution modeling and groundwater chemistry. Dr. Gaffney has worked at Argonne National Laboratory and is involved in the Department of Energy Global Change Education Program. He obtained a B.S. in Chemistry, M.S. in Organic Chemistry and Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from University of California Riverside. Dr. Gaffney is active in the American Meteorological Society and American Chemical Society and is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of science and the American Association for Aerosol Research.
