Phase III Final Report

Cover 1

In 2022, SCIPP completed its third grant cycle. SCIPP Phase III: Helping Communities Build Resilience to Weather and Climate Extremes began in 2018, and a final report was prepared to highlight research findings, new tools, and engagement activities throughout the four years.

The first section of the report summarizes the four research areas of focus for Phase III: Planning and Preparedness, Climate Adaptation, Coastal Impacts, and Drought. In each section, research relevant to the respective topic is summarized along with key findings, and a short “takeaway” is provided for each project. The second section highlights some of the many outreach events that SCIPP hosted during the grant cycle. From the Climate Adaptation Summer Academy to the NOAA Water Utilities Workshop, this section goes beyond publications to highlight stakeholder interaction. Finally, the last section discusses important tools and reports that were produced throughout Phase III.
